The 4th in my series of transmutations of Leonardo's work. Based on #MadonnaLitta, depicting the Virgin Mary breastfeeding baby Jesus. Traditionally attributed to #DaVinci, certainly coming at least from his school. A painting I love, especially the piercing eye of the child, the only detail that I kept intact.

My style involves replicating the original painting thousands of times, with almost as many variations, forming a #microcosm which I try to keep in harmony with the #macrocosm of the transfigured artwork.

After hundreds of iterations in which I use only the original artwork and nothing else, as it was paint or pixels, I get to a new artwork that is substantially different from the original and that I recognize as my own.

In this case I did something new. The microcosm was made by multiplying two images instead of one: the face of the mother and the face of the child, which can be appreciated in full resolution.

Looks like my #art is gaining momentum, my #EarlierMonaLisa and my Virgin of the Dead are sold out, I have an interview coming out soon, and collectors are reaching out and being supportive!

When I started creating #digitalart 14 years ago I never thought I could make a living out of it, and never even tried to sell anything until few months ago. Now for the first time I realise that yes, art is my path and I can earn my living with it! It feels awesome, all an artist really needs is to be in a position in which he can spend his time creating! Thanks to those that by appreciating and collecting my art are making my dream possible!

Entirely made by using a 17th century painting called “Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn”, venerated in Eastern Europe (it is possible to see the original in the details, replicated thousand of times, although in most cases she’s too small or corrupted by glitches to be appreciated).
Saw her, loved her, took out her dark side (not that she was missing it, her mysterious nature is what attracted me in the first place).
Nothing else but that painting was used to make this.
